About Sue

I started working at BISSELL in July of 1998 and have had many different roles in the company. My current one as the Pet Category Manager is the best! My group and I take products from idea conception to what you end up seeing on the retail shelf. We specialize in the types of products that you might find in the pet aisle or a pet store. We also act as pet consultants for other products like vacuums and deep cleaners. It's our job to know and learn as much as we can about pets and cleaning up after them to tell the rest of our marketing and product development teams.

One of my favorite things about my job is that it fits so well with my love of pets. My first dog was a Schnauzer named Whiskers that I got when I was about five and I have had a dog in my life ever since. Currently we have two dogs, our first was a mutt named Loco who is a crazy bundle of energy and fur! We adopted our second dog, Rocky, from Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan. They are a group who places rescue dogs in a prison training program then adopts them out. I have a wonderfully supportive husband and two little girls who love animals. Until we adopted Rocky, we were a foster home for our local Humane Society. We're still getting used to life with two dogs at home so we're not taking fosters right now. However, with two kids, one long-haired dog and one short-haired furball, our house is still the perfect testing ground for most of our products!
